Women have always used this trick on men and it keeps
working for them because of men’s uncontrollable libido. As Chinweizu puts it
in his book- Anatomy of Female Power- “When his penis stands up a man’s brain
takes French leave.” How true! What these women do is an unwarranted and greedy
exploitation of a God-given attribute of the men. All women, married, single or
cohabitant, employ this trick to satisfy their extortionist tendencies and win
all manner of favours from men. And they know just the perfect time to strike –
when his brain has taken French leave and all he wants is to relieve the
overpowering tension in his loins. At that point he is ready to accept any
demand because his reasoning faculty has gone on suspension.
However, what such women fail to understand in most cases is
that promises obtained under duress (which is what this situation amounts to)
are hardly enforceable. Which court, human or divine would convict a man for repudiating
a promise obtained through ‘penis-twisting’ tactics? The man simply accepts to
satisfy whatever demand(s) is being made just to be given access. And as soon
as tension is relieved and his faculties return to normal he begins to plot an
escape from whatever commitment he might have made.
What happens next could range from outright denial, abscondment,
cajolement and/or deferment, to verbal abuse and fisticuffs. If the
relationship is a long-lasting one or has such a prospect, the man may resort
to cajolement and/or deferment, in which case he should be ready for more
penis-twisting until he pays up or breaks the relationship. On the other hand,
if it was a casual no-strings-attached affair he should be ready for a rough
landing. He would be lucky to get away with mere verbal assault. Otherwise he
could find himself involved in a brawl if the woman is the rough type. And not
even the cliché “e sweet me, e sweet you,na who go pay” would rescue him from
her clutches. Men beware!
